Recall Alerts Description of Defect: Certain VNR, VNL, VHD and VAH model vehicles may experience premature wear of the gears in the wiper motor system. If the windshield wipers become inoperative, it could limit the driver’s visibility under certain operating conditions, which may increase the risk of a crash. The wiper motor will be replaced.Models/ Model Years Affected: Certain 2022 to 2024 Volvo VNR, VNL, VHD and VAH vehicles manufactured from May 03, 2021 through July 05, 2023. Vehicle Quantities: 63,095 (55,012 US, 8,083 Canada) Dealer’s Responsibility: The National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act and Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Act requires dealers to ensure that all new and used vehicles are free of safety defects and comply with all relevant safety standards at the time of delivery to the consumer. Dealers should make their personnel aware of the safety recall. In the event that a dealer has a vehicle included in the safety recall in their inventory to be sold, the condition must be corrected before releasing it to a customer.
