DESCRIPTION:
After a SW upgrade, the I-TPMS-system needs to be recalibrated.
This is done automatically when the car is started and the VDDM will then start to collect I-TPMS data.
SW = Software
VDDM = Vehicle Dynamics Domain Master
TPMS = Tire pressure monitoring system
I-TPMS = Indirect TPMS
SERVICE:
In the new SW, released May 2019, the picture in the Centre Display for I-TPMS is showing a “spinning
wheel”, while calibration is ongoing.
The calibration function itself is not changed compared to previous SW versions, it is only how it is
presented in the center display that has been changed.
A new calibration will start automatically as soon as the VDDM SW is upgraded.
It may take up to 20 minutes and speed over 40 km/h, to get the data needed to fulfill the calibration.
When calibration is complete, the I-TPMS picture in Centre Display will show four green dots, one for
each wheel.
If the calibration is not fulfilled during one driving cycle, it will continue with the ongoing calibration
the next time car is started. This is a normal function of vehicle.
Please do not replace any components in an attempt to repair the car.
